Dennis “Dutch” L. Holland, 63, of Fairland, passed away February 4, 2014.  He was born July 24, 1950 in Indianapolis.

Dennis served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He was previously employed as a security guard and retired after 20 years as a computer specialist.  One of Dennis’ greatest accomplishments was obtaining his Associate’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  He greatly loved his family.  Dennis also loved baseball, bowling, and was an avid Harley enthusiast.  He accomplished his lifelong dream of riding to Sturgis and Daytona.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, James M. Holland; brother, Michael T. Holland; and step-father, Paul E. Risk.

He leaves behind his wife, Peggy J. Holland; sons, Brian (Amy) Holland and Jason (Andrea) Holland; grandchildren, Brandon, Lindsey, Shane, Devin, Gaven, and Kaylyn; mother, Mary Ann Risk; step-mother, Janet L. Holland; brothers, Lonnie (Pam) Holland, Gary (Alison) Holland, and Glenn Holland; sisters, Christine (Jim) Garrett and Susan (Steve) McFarland; 3 step-children; 6 step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 Monday, February 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood.  A private funeral mass will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m..

Dennis and Peggy would like to give a special thanks to the Simon Cancer Center/I.U. Hospital (Dr. Logan and Allie); and the I.U. Hospital Hospice team (Debbie, Kelly, Mark, Bethina, and Chaplain Mike).  Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, I.U. Simon Cancer Center, or Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church.  Arrangements by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.
